Hans was a busy, happy, sweet and fearless three year old when he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. He fought his disease like a "gladiator" for nearly 6 years. Hans was an animal lover to his core. He was 'guarded' at home by his three cats, Black, Orange and Cotton. He also had his Golden Retriever, Honey, to keep him company. Hans enjoyed swimming, biking, gardening, grilling (he had his very own grill!), horseback riding, playing video games, building Legos, and flipping between Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Animal Planet. Hans loved all members of his family and he was a loyal friend. He had to go through a lot of treatment in his life. But Hans powered through it. His attitude was let's get this done! His motivation was always to get back home, to his family, pets, favorite foods and pool.

Way to Go Elle, and Taylor too!

Hey - just a quick post. Elle completed her first Triathlon today at the YMCA. Way to go! It was a short course set up for 7 - 12 year olds - a 50 yard swim (in the Y pool), a 1 mile bike ride, and a quarter mile run. Doesn't sound bad, but then you have to add the heat! She did great! Whoo hoo!
Our friend, Taylor, was out there too.He did really well! His mama, Kelly is holding up well with her Treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She got chemo yesterday, but it didn't stop her from showing up to the YMCA at 6:30 am for the Tri.
Hans did well and got to see a couple of old buds at the Y - like Thomas from Little Saints. That was our big activity for the weekend. We're all just holed up in the AC keeping cool. It's hot and humid here and the "feels like" factor was 111 degrees today!

Great job, Elle! That's a big accomplishment. Grandma Kathy told me about your "signature bead"...I'm so jealous I didn't think of that. Your ankle bracelets are really cute!

Stay cool, Hans! Glad you got to see some of your buddies :)

Congratulations Elle! That is a big accomplishment. We are so glad to hear about Hans. I always felt God was bringing you guys to the best care for Hans and that he would make it through, but it's fantastic to hear it. Elle, Anna says hi and she is impressed. We continue to think of and pray for all the Weberlings.

Wish I had been checking a bit more regularly as I was out at the Kiwanis Kids Tri today and would have enjoyed meeting you all.

I got to meet Beth Whitehead tonight at the Midnight Bike Cruise for the first time and it was good reading the updates for Hans this evening.

Yaaaay Elle!!! You're becoming a great young athlete. We watched a triathlon here on Whidbey Island last weekend and know how hard it is and what stamina you have to have. Very impressive! Wish you could all come up here and experience some cooler weather for awhile.
Love,
Kim
