About Me

Hans was a busy, happy, sweet and fearless three year old when he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. He fought his disease like a "gladiator" for nearly 6 years. Hans was an animal lover to his core. He was 'guarded' at home by his three cats, Black, Orange and Cotton. He also had his Golden Retriever, Honey, to keep him company. Hans enjoyed swimming, biking, gardening, grilling (he had his very own grill!), horseback riding, playing video games, building Legos, and flipping between Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Animal Planet. Hans loved all members of his family and he was a loyal friend. He had to go through a lot of treatment in his life. But Hans powered through it. His attitude was let's get this done! His motivation was always to get back home, to his family, pets, favorite foods and pool.

Bone Scan Normal!

Just a very quick note to say that Hans' bone scan was normal!

We had a brief meeting with Dr. Russell and she said that Hans is still on track to go into BMT next week, we just have to make sure no bacteria grow in his blood cultures and we're good to go.

Hans is doing well at home. He's eating well and having fun with his kitties. And, he has actually done okay taking his oral steriods!

My mom is going to check out of her hotel tomorrow - she's getting better.

Good night!

Lara

Hope all of you have a good weekend. What's this about grandma volunteering rides ion our golf cart? Maybe we can do better than that,if Hans wants to.We can help him learn how to drive,it's not too soon.Kev probably remembers learning on "old brown".In another 10 years Hans can learn too.Love ya all lots, grandpa Dale

Hi Hans! Way to go buddy! I was watching Sponge Bob and thinking of you. Remember my cartoon watching is our secret. I see Grandpa Dale is planning on teaching you to drive in Old Brown, lucky you, I love Old Brown, my son A.J was always trying to think of a way to buy it from Grandpa ,but I think Grandpa likes that truck too much. Wait until you see that little red golf cart! Grandpa and Mel look like two big bears in it! Happy Easter! Love, Cindy
