About Me

Hans was a busy, happy, sweet and fearless three year old when he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. He fought his disease like a "gladiator" for nearly 6 years. Hans was an animal lover to his core. He was 'guarded' at home by his three cats, Black, Orange and Cotton. He also had his Golden Retriever, Honey, to keep him company. Hans enjoyed swimming, biking, gardening, grilling (he had his very own grill!), horseback riding, playing video games, building Legos, and flipping between Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Animal Planet. Hans loved all members of his family and he was a loyal friend. He had to go through a lot of treatment in his life. But Hans powered through it. His attitude was let's get this done! His motivation was always to get back home, to his family, pets, favorite foods and pool.

Spring Break

Just a quick note to say that Elle's spring break got off to a slow start. She was diagnosed with Strep Throat yesterday! Poor thing. But, she's on a z-pack and should be great by tomorrow.
The neighbor girls, Madisen and Haleigh, and Elle did a KoolAid stand on Friday and again today. They donated 50% of their proceeds to Hans. Thanks to our generous Neighbors for buying from the girls. It was really sweet of everyone and the girls were having a great time out there! Hans can use his funds to support his latest daily indulgence - an Icee. The good thing about that is that at least we walk up to the Exxon for the Icee. It's either about a third of a mile or a mile, depending on if you take the shortcut by the pond. Tomorrow Elle is going to Schlitterbahn Galveston Island (Water Slides) with Carmen and her family. We're really glad she's gonna have some fun! Tuesday she has another playdate lined up with Kelly and her boys. I feel a little better that she's keeping busy and having some fun. Then, Grandma Kathy gets in Tuesday and they are going to do lots together - especially hit the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Hans will be getting up bright and early for Day 10 of Radiation!
That's all our "news" for now - Lara
