Hans was a pretty darn good sport on Friday for his Dental Work and Bone Marrow Aspiration. They didn't get him into the OR until 1:15 pm, but he didn't complain too much about not being able to eat beforehand. He wound up getting one tooth capped and needing one other filling. You can definately spot the cap. The Bone Marrow Aspiration was done in the back, so he was a little sore for a couple of nights and he slept on his side.
We had a pretty good weekend at home. Hans was able to go to Elle's first soccer game of the season. He didn't seem to like it that Kevin was just sitting with us on the sidelines, (he usually coaches her soccer, but took this season off while Coach Jim Flynn and Coach John Sweebe are doing a great job)! Hans kept telling his dad to "get out there and coach the girls". It was pretty cute.
Tomorrow we'll go back in for an office visit. We should get to meet with the Radiologist, and then the Oncologist and the Surgeon to discuss the best approach to deal with this spot from the CT scan. We'll also get the Bone Marrow Results.
About Me
- Hans Weberling
- Bakersfield, CA, United States
- Hans was a busy, happy, sweet and fearless three year old when he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. He fought his disease like a "gladiator" for nearly 6 years. Hans was an animal lover to his core. He was 'guarded' at home by his three cats, Black, Orange and Cotton. He also had his Golden Retriever, Honey, to keep him company. Hans enjoyed swimming, biking, gardening, grilling (he had his very own grill!), horseback riding, playing video games, building Legos, and flipping between Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Animal Planet. Hans loved all members of his family and he was a loyal friend. He had to go through a lot of treatment in his life. But Hans powered through it. His attitude was let's get this done! His motivation was always to get back home, to his family, pets, favorite foods and pool.
