About Me

Hans was a busy, happy, sweet and fearless three year old when he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. He fought his disease like a "gladiator" for nearly 6 years. Hans was an animal lover to his core. He was 'guarded' at home by his three cats, Black, Orange and Cotton. He also had his Golden Retriever, Honey, to keep him company. Hans enjoyed swimming, biking, gardening, grilling (he had his very own grill!), horseback riding, playing video games, building Legos, and flipping between Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Animal Planet. Hans loved all members of his family and he was a loyal friend. He had to go through a lot of treatment in his life. But Hans powered through it. His attitude was let's get this done! His motivation was always to get back home, to his family, pets, favorite foods and pool.

My Babushka at Girl Scouts Thinking Day

Elle's Girl Scout troop researched the Ukraine for Thinking Day, today, Feb. 24th. One of our troop members is from the Ukraine. Elle is wearing the country colors of yellow and blue, traditional braids and a Babushka. Isn't she sweet? She had a busy day today with her Science Fair presentation, a basketball game and picking up her Girl Scout cookie order. We'll get your cookies to you soon! Her brother was happy to stay at home throughout this busy day.
We tried to post her presentation, but it is difficult to post powerpoint presentations on the blog. If you would like to see it, just email me at kevinandlara@sbcglobal.net and I'll email you the file! Kevin and Elle said it was a big success. The Glen Loch teachers and principal made an especially good audience.

Elle, you look great in your Ukraine outfit. Hope you had a fun time!

I'm sure that you did a super job of explaining pediatric cancer to the audience. We're all very proud of you. Good work! You'll have to give me a repeat performance on my next trip.

Don't eat all my cookies - Eat Grandpa Dales!

Can't wait to see you all in a couple of weeks. XOXO to all of you.
