Hi Everyone,
I think my internet was down for a day or two, so sorry to be late in letting you know that we've been back from the hospital since Saturday. The fourth round of chemo went pretty well. It was quick! We were in Thursday and out on Saturday. Hans didn't exactly like Day 2, but with a little Adavan (SP?) he was able to sleep through the worst of it. He did so well, in fact, that they let us out of there by noon on Saturday and we just had to come back in briefly on Sunday for his shot of Newlasta. Newlasta promotes white blood cell growth and helps him bounce back from the Chemo.
Hans is doing great at home, and has been active as usual. We've been to the park twice today and he has been enjoying both his big wheel and his bike seat. It's fun to be able to ride with grandma!
He seems to be finally turning up his nose at Chicken Nuggets and Cool Ranch Dorito's. These days he's into PB&J, his dad's BBQ chicken, cereal and pancakes.
We say good bye to grandma tonight and then Megan and Phil will be back in time to help out for the surgery.
It was cool to learn that Mass was said in Hans' name today at Saints Simon and Jude by Father Vincent Nguyen. Thanks to Matilda Minze for putting in that request!
Happy New Year to everyone! I'll post more pictures soon...

About Me
- Hans Weberling
- Bakersfield, CA, United States
- Hans was a busy, happy, sweet and fearless three year old when he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. He fought his disease like a "gladiator" for nearly 6 years. Hans was an animal lover to his core. He was 'guarded' at home by his three cats, Black, Orange and Cotton. He also had his Golden Retriever, Honey, to keep him company. Hans enjoyed swimming, biking, gardening, grilling (he had his very own grill!), horseback riding, playing video games, building Legos, and flipping between Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Animal Planet. Hans loved all members of his family and he was a loyal friend. He had to go through a lot of treatment in his life. But Hans powered through it. His attitude was let's get this done! His motivation was always to get back home, to his family, pets, favorite foods and pool.

It sounds like Hans did really well again! What a strong little boy. We are still praying for him each night. Emily drew a picture for Hans yesterday, but she used so much tape to close it that I don't think he'll be able to open it! Take care and keep up the good work, Hans!
