I am going to piece-meal the program together, so if you are a speaker and you are willing to share what you wrote, please email it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!
Roxie officiated the COL and gave an amazing introduction and opened the evening with Optimus Prime and then our friend Shelley read this poem aloud. It was Elle's selection for the evening. Her favorite poem of all time.
“Hope” is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -
And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -
And sore must be the storm -
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm -
I’ve heard it in the chillest land -
And on the strangest Sea -
Yet - never - in Extremity,
It asked a crumb - of me.
