About Me

Hans was a busy, happy, sweet and fearless three year old when he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. He fought his disease like a "gladiator" for nearly 6 years. Hans was an animal lover to his core. He was 'guarded' at home by his three cats, Black, Orange and Cotton. He also had his Golden Retriever, Honey, to keep him company. Hans enjoyed swimming, biking, gardening, grilling (he had his very own grill!), horseback riding, playing video games, building Legos, and flipping between Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Animal Planet. Hans loved all members of his family and he was a loyal friend. He had to go through a lot of treatment in his life. But Hans powered through it. His attitude was let's get this done! His motivation was always to get back home, to his family, pets, favorite foods and pool.

Well, maybe we are pulling out of our "stupid week" Hans JUST NOW announced that his back is all better and he's ready to play Just Dance with Elle and Madi. Thank goodness. I managed to set up an appointment with CHLA Dermatology for Weds May 9th. In the meantime, we will treat that thing at home and Hans is doing home- surgery, picking at it with tweezers. Ewww. Anyway, I just thought I had better let you know that it's turning around. I just didn't have it in me to put a good spin on all that. Better now. Thanks for all your hot tips - I have been fielding some fun suggestions for wart removal! And thanks, Shelley, (I suspect), for Lego Ninjago Lloyd. Miraculously, Hans' pain disappeared just after he snapped Lloyd together.

Yaaaay!! That wasn't from us...we got him a Transformer thing - I think a boat or plane to robot or something...or maybe all three?? Anyway, whatever works is awesome!!! Glad he's improving!

Oh, thanks, we'll keep our eyes peeled! Then, I'm thinking Lloyd may be from Pat. But who knows.
