About Me

Hans was a busy, happy, sweet and fearless three year old when he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. He fought his disease like a "gladiator" for nearly 6 years. Hans was an animal lover to his core. He was 'guarded' at home by his three cats, Black, Orange and Cotton. He also had his Golden Retriever, Honey, to keep him company. Hans enjoyed swimming, biking, gardening, grilling (he had his very own grill!), horseback riding, playing video games, building Legos, and flipping between Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Animal Planet. Hans loved all members of his family and he was a loyal friend. He had to go through a lot of treatment in his life. But Hans powered through it. His attitude was let's get this done! His motivation was always to get back home, to his family, pets, favorite foods and pool.

Twenty

Hans is at 20 today. The guideline is that kiddos usually reduce their radiation number by half. So, today Hans is textbook, I guess. 10, 5, 2.5, 1.25???
Did I tell you they bumped his exit scan up to Monday afternoon. That way we might be able to hit the road more quickly on Tuesday...

I am overdue posting any kind of picture. Here is one of Hans and my mom cooking together Sunday night. It's fun this time of year, if we need a lemon, we just send Kevin to pick one hanging over our fence.

Kevin arrived last night bearing gifts! Thanks to the Jill, Lisa, Tierneys, aunt Susan, and our rad Lego Fairy Megan. They tried to keep notes with gifts, so I may have missed one note, I'm so sorry if I did. Roxie is still here, spoiling us with her attentions and trips to the nearest Jack in the Box for Hans. He is not eating a ton, but likes to have the food nearby.

Hans is always happy to have his daddy by his side!

Grandma Stephanie and Hans look ready for cameras and action...I imagine dinner was fabulous!

May the packages continue to roll on in...and the rads plummet downward!

Think of you with BIG love!
