About Me

Hans was a busy, happy, sweet and fearless three year old when he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. He fought his disease like a "gladiator" for nearly 6 years. Hans was an animal lover to his core. He was 'guarded' at home by his three cats, Black, Orange and Cotton. He also had his Golden Retriever, Honey, to keep him company. Hans enjoyed swimming, biking, gardening, grilling (he had his very own grill!), horseback riding, playing video games, building Legos, and flipping between Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Animal Planet. Hans loved all members of his family and he was a loyal friend. He had to go through a lot of treatment in his life. But Hans powered through it. His attitude was let's get this done! His motivation was always to get back home, to his family, pets, favorite foods and pool.

Here we "glo" again

Hans has been infused with the I-131 Isotope today. He started out at 40. Last time around he was 48 on Day 1. The doc theorized that he has less disease this time around, so not as much of the Isotope took up??? We have to get to 2 to get out of here. Let the countdown begin.

Yesterday, we were treated to a lovely visit/food drop off by Natalie:). Natalie, sis to our fromer neighbor Alana, was on vacation and she and her pal Beth and her adorable son Jack worked us into their plans. Sweet.
Roxie got here today, Kevin flies in tonight. Elle and my mom will drive up first thing Saturday morning.

Hans successfully received both blood and platelets since we got admitted.

This is sort of short and too the point, my brain is just a little fried.
We are all somehow in better spirits! Kevin is packing packages from 6 of you on the flight. Thank you!!! Thanks Aunt Holly, your package was the first to arrive to the floor! Happy B'day to you. I heard a couple of packages are in limbo here, but we're working on it. Sorry, Pat!

Thanks for checking up on us. I'll try to do the daily updates like I did last time.

So pleased the "Team" is coming together, and the packages are arriving in a steady stream!

It sounds like pre-treatment tensions have subsided to manageable levels, too! WHEW!

Love and prayers are with you!

Hugs,
Aunt Susy

Lara - UPS had a problem with my first delivery...they said there was no Hans at that address. When the UPS gal added that Hans was a patient...success. Fun that he got it during the first day. One more package on it's way! Hoping the time passes quickly for all of you :)
Love, prayers and hugs,
Aunt Holly
