About Me

My photo
Bakersfield, CA, United States
Hans was a busy, happy, sweet and fearless three year old when he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. He fought his disease like a "gladiator" for nearly 6 years. Hans was an animal lover to his core. He was 'guarded' at home by his three cats, Black, Orange and Cotton. He also had his Golden Retriever, Honey, to keep him company. Hans enjoyed swimming, biking, gardening, grilling (he had his very own grill!), horseback riding, playing video games, building Legos, and flipping between Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Animal Planet. Hans loved all members of his family and he was a loyal friend. He had to go through a lot of treatment in his life. But Hans powered through it. His attitude was let's get this done! His motivation was always to get back home, to his family, pets, favorite foods and pool.

Hope Unites Us

I just finally watched the latest CNCF Awareness Video -
I want to share the link. Pat and her team selected a beautiful photo (taken by Carla at Kiss the Moon Photography) of Elle and Hans to close the video.

Hope unites us.

How fitting to have previewed this clip as I'm about to travel to Louisiana with fellow NB mama, Tracy. We are able to attend Patrick's Rosary tonight. I'm just glad to be able to hug my friend Claire.

I wish Patrick's story had had a different ending. I have been praying for the miracle.

I believe, along with Pat Tallungan of the CNCF, and so many other NB families, that Neuroblastoma can and will be beat.

Thanks for following the stories of Hans and his cohorts over all these years, and thanks for your support.

Love, Lara

I'm always moved by the many faces of children. So much these children face. My heart cannot feel anything but love toward them. Then...Hans and Elle. In union with one another in hope and love. Beautiful. May love, prayers and miracles prevail.

Oh, Lara!

I believe Patrick's story will continue to unfold through the brave, resilient efforts of his family and friends.

The story of all of these dear children continues through your efforts...bless these dear children and all of the people who love and support them daily!

Thinking of Patrick and the gathering of his loved ones!

Love and hugs,
Susan
