About Me

Hans was a busy, happy, sweet and fearless three year old when he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. He fought his disease like a "gladiator" for nearly 6 years. Hans was an animal lover to his core. He was 'guarded' at home by his three cats, Black, Orange and Cotton. He also had his Golden Retriever, Honey, to keep him company. Hans enjoyed swimming, biking, gardening, grilling (he had his very own grill!), horseback riding, playing video games, building Legos, and flipping between Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Animal Planet. Hans loved all members of his family and he was a loyal friend. He had to go through a lot of treatment in his life. But Hans powered through it. His attitude was let's get this done! His motivation was always to get back home, to his family, pets, favorite foods and pool.

Mission Accomplished

On Saturday we got a little ambitious and hit two pools to complete our mission of 13pools in 13 days! It might be considered cheating that we only made it to the last pool with 30 minutes before closing. That was fun. Now, we can just go back to our favorites. We like the pools with diving boards these days, since that's Hans' favorite thing to do...just jump.

Hans is on Day 4 of Round 7 and it's going okay so far. He sleeps a bit restlessly, but he sleeps. I think there is an edginess to his moodiness at times, and some real crises can brew. But, usually what we try to do is just change up the venue when trouble starts. So far so good.

We pick up Roxie today. If all is going well, we'll try to do a short trip to San Antonio and perhaps even Sea World???

Well done! Just curious if Hans expresses any of what he is feelign with you? What you have been describing sounds very similar to what Will experienced on ABT and I never received any feedback from him - or his docs - when I described how he seemed at times on ABT. I noted similar behavior when he was on vinblastine & rapa as well and it went away since we stopped that therapy. Will was also thought to have had ADHD while on ABT after meeting with a psych but we were convinced it was the drug. His 'symptoms' went away after we stopped the drug but he never verbalized any issues to us.

Glad he is doing well and enjoying his Pool tour

Loved meeting Roxie. The Weberlings are lucky to have her.
